TLC has announced a new six-episode series in its “Say Yes to the Dress” family. Like the original, “Say Yes to the Dress: Big Bliss” will take place inside Kleinfeld Bridal. Except in “Big Bliss,” all the brides are plus size. In honor of the new show, I thought I’d spotlight some pretty plus size wedding gowns.

To me, summer dressing is all about being cool and comfortable. I don’t want to wear anything too clingy, too structured or too formal. Tim Burton’s re-imagined “Alice in Wonderland” releases in the US on March 5, and anticipation for the film is reaching a fever pitch. Disney has just announced that it is partnering with several designers and retailers for “Alice” inspired jewelry, cosmetics and even clothing (not available in plus sizes, unfortunately).

A lot of the featured clothes here are the kind that would appeal to women in their 20′s and 30′s, so I thought I’d pick something today for a slightly younger curvy gal. This pleated pyramid-style skirt from Torrid is evokes a school uniform, but with a punk edge. It features a versatile black-and-white plaid design, and is has non-removable straps at the top. The store’s clothes will appeal to young professionals, but there’s really something there for everyone. Plus, they have some of the prettiest, most feminine lingerie you’ll find in plus sizes. And the new Icon Collection brings a higher-end product to the store.
