A vapid aspiring model (Deb) killed in a car crash gets brought back to life in the body of Jane — an intelligent, overweight lawyer, hoping to find the meaning of inner beauty.

This Stripes-inspired comedy is about a group of misfits attending the Greendale Community College. Jeff Winger (Joel McHale), a lawyer who has his degree revoked, goes back to college and forms a study group. Jeff and his fellow study group members, over time, learn more about themselves, as well as each other.

With help from the viewers, judges decide from thousands of participants who will walk away with a record deal and the fame and fortune that is sure to come along with it. American Idol was started as a spinoff of Pop Idol, a U.K. series with the same general format and also featuring Simon Cowell as a judge. It has since emerged as hit series in its own right, propelling FOX to the top of television rankings, inspiring various merchandise, and launching the careers of many hit-stars.

In each episode of “Supernanny,” Jo Frost observes how the parents handle their day-to-day obstacles with their children. Once she’s assessed the pitfalls, she works with the parents, instilling her tried-and-true methods for transforming unwanted behavior. Then, after demonstrating just how well the new style will work and getting unbelievable results from the children, the parents must fly solo with the Supernanny techniques. For several days they try to implement Jo’s suggestions, and she revisits them at the end of the program to help keep them on track for the future.

Julia Sugarbaker (Dixie Carter), Mary Jo Shively (Annie Potts), Charlene Frazier-Stillfield (Jean Smart) and Suzanne Sugarbaker (Delta Burke) are associates at their design firm, Sugarbaker and Associates. Julia Sugarbaker is the owner of Sugarbaker and Associates and is very outspoken and strong-willed. Mary Jo Shively is a divorced single-parent who is just as strong-willed as Julia, but isn’t as self-confident. Charlene is the naive and trusting farm girl from Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Suzanne Sugarbaker is the self-centered ex-beauty queen who has a number of wealthy ex-husbands.

Each week, one cluttered clan puts itself at the mercy of host Niecy Nash and her crew of interior designers and organizers. They decide what stays and, more importantly, what goes–by way of a giant yard sale. Then they turn around and pour the proceeds into a much-needed home makeover.

Jones, the semi-competent ladies’ man; and Deputy Raineesha Williams, the bootylicious black cop with an attitude.
