One of the great things about warm weather is the casual summer dress. This one from Old Navy is versatile, and at only $20, super affordable. On a summer day, the dress would look great on its own with a pair of sandals. Or, wear it under a lightweight cardigan or casual jacket with a pair of ballet flats. If you’re uncomfortable with the plunge neckline, try a pretty camisole underneath.

This top includes some of my favorite features in clothes: an empire waist, interesting neckline and versatile color scheme. Plus, it’s a tunic, so it’s going to be flattering. The neckline and sash are adorned with metallic decorative buttons, and it ties in the back, letting you customize your fit.

If you go to a Victoria’s Secret at your local mall, you may get the idea that sexy lingerie is only for those sizes 12 and smaller. But that’s far from true. Many plus size stores have lingerie lines that are made to flatter a fuller figure. This chemise from Zaftique is a great example of a feminine, sexy silhouette for you and your special someone.

A lot of the featured clothes here are the kind that would appeal to women in their 20’s and 30’s, so I thought I’d pick something today for a slightly younger curvy gal. This pleated pyramid-style skirt from Torrid is evokes a school uniform, but with a punk edge. It features a versatile black-and-white plaid design, and is has non-removable straps at the top. Solid black fabric sets off the pleats.

I live in the South, where it’s only really cold a handful of days out of the year. So I don’t want to spend $200 on a coat I’ll rarely wear. This cheetah print coat, from Forever 21’s plus size line Faith 21, is both inexpensive and stylish. The double-breasted coat will add a nice touch of color and personality to a conservative outfit, and it’s fairly lightweight, perfect for areas where it doesn’t get too cold.

Can I tell you a secret? I adore super-long skirts and dresses, like this maxi dress from SWAK Designs. Not quite formal, but not casual either, it’s the kind of dress you wear when you want to be dressed up and elegant, yet still feel comfortable.
This dress has a flattering V-neck and empire waistline, which is embellished with three rows of rhinestones. Also, the nearly elbow-length sleeves are perfect for ladies who prefer to cover their upper arms and shoulders.

What I love about shirts like this ruffled top from Old Navy is that they’re versatile. Wear it under a cardigan or blazer in the fall and winter, or on its own during the warmer months.
